Among all the administrative divisions of Kenya, the North Eastern province is one of the most important in controlling the administration and governance of Kenya. Garissa is actually the capital city of the North Eastern province and one of the major business center of the Garissa district. One of the most famous river of Kenya, the Tana River flows through the city and makes the land of the city of Garissa fertile.

This place is basically a Muslim religion prevailing society and the people over here are always keen on following their traditional aspects. Transportation infrastructure of this city is not up to the mark but specifically mentioning, the road between Nairobi and Garissa is of pretty good condition. The same road is traveled by cars too and it takes about four to five hours to reach your destination. Another form of transportation is the airlines. Though Garissa has an airport but there are no such fixed time schedule for the flights.
Garissa offers you some amazing spots to visit. The most important thing about visiting Garissa is having a close observation to the Somalia life without visiting the actual land of Somalia. Garissa shops are having a typical outlook- all of them are of having front parts and they are always colored with dazzling paints. The wildlife adds more glamor to the beauty of Garissa and you can see wild animals like: eagles, dikdik, baboons and meerkats form a close distance.
