Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya and is popularly known as the “Green City in the Sun”. Nairobi is the prime tourist destination of Kenya with several tourist attractions. The most famous among them that attracts several tourists every year is Nairobi National park. The park is the home of about 400 species of bird and contain animals like lions and giraffes. Nairobi is the home of several museums also.

The museum houses a large collection of artefacts that include the full remains of a homo erectus boy. The city is often nicknamed as the “safari capital of the world”. The National Museum of Kenya is the largest in the city. Other attractions include the largest ice rink in Africa, the Solar Ice Rink, Jomo Kenyatta's mausoleum, Kenya Natioanl Theatre and the Kenya National Archives. Some of the important art galleries of Nairobi are Rahimtulla museum of modern art (Ramoma) and the Mzizi art center.
