Amusements in Kilifi

Kilifi is a Kenyan coastal town and houses a number of resorts. It is located on the Rare River estuary of Kenya. The coastal beach is known as the Bofa Beach and it is part of the best sea beaches of Kenya. The town is located between the towns of Malindi and Mombasa on the banks of the Kilifi Creek. Kilifi is the capital city of the Kilifi District. As of 1999, Kilifi houses an urban population of 30,394. The town of Kilifi is best known for its wonderful beach as well as the remnants of Mnarani, that include its magnificent mosques and tombs, that date back to the fourteenth and the seventeenth centuries. Africa is a land of the safari rides and adventures and Kilifi is no exception to that rule. There are quite a few amusements in Kilifi. You can go on a guided tour or alone to visit the various amusements in Kilifi.
Kilifi is a pretty town, which is home to a small community who have settled on the along the land of the lovely Kilifi Creek. These people assemble in small groups in the evenings or catch a drink at the Seahorse Hotel to share their experiences and anecdotes of the day. For years together the ferry was the only means to cross the creek. However, a bridge has been recently constructed, which has eliminated the fun element from traveling and has made it a very practical affair.

Kilifi is home to a pretty but a little inaccessible beach. There is also a fabulous coral reef just off the coast of the Kilifi Creek. Kilifi is situated at a distance of only 58 km from the Mombasa International Airport. It is set against a traditional backdrop of Kenyan history and culture. There are many shopping facilities and markets in Kilifi as well a few restaurants serving the authentic African platter.

The kenyatravelhub.com wishes you an adventurous and delightful trip of Kilifi.
