Kilifi is a pretty town, which is home to a small community who have settled on the along the land of the lovely Kilifi Creek. These people assemble in small groups in the evenings or catch a drink at the Seahorse Hotel to share their experiences and anecdotes of the day. For years together the ferry was the only means to cross the creek. However, a bridge has been recently constructed, which has eliminated the fun element from traveling and has made it a very practical affair.
Kilifi is home to a pretty but a little inaccessible beach. There is also a fabulous coral reef just off the coast of the Kilifi Creek. Kilifi is situated at a distance of only 58 km from the Mombasa International Airport. It is set against a traditional backdrop of Kenyan history and culture. There are many shopping facilities and markets in Kilifi as well a few restaurants serving the authentic African platter.
The kenyatravelhub.com wishes you an adventurous and delightful trip of Kilifi.
