Traveling in Kwale

Kwale is located at a distance of only 5km from the Shimba Hills National Reserve. The road to the Shimba Hills National Reserve is scattered with signs of the existence of elephants in the region. Kwale is located in the Coastal Province of Kenya. It has a latitudinal location of 4°10'60?S, 39°27'0?E approximately. Located at a distance of 30 km southwest from Mombasa and 15 km on the inland, Kwale is the capital city of the Kwale District. As of 1999, it had an urban population of 4200.
