The Republic of Kenya is a country in Eastern Africa. It is bordered by Ethiopia in the north, Tanzania in the south, Somalia in the northeast, Uganda in the west. Indian Ocean running along the southeast border. Kenya comprises of 8 provinces each headed by a provincial commissioner. The government supervises administration of districts and provinces. The provinces are:

Initially Nyanza had four administrative districts. Since 1990s, the province has further been divided into following districts:
Bondo
Gucha
Homa Bay
Kisii and others.
Bondo district is an administrative district in the Nyanza province of Kenya. The Bondo district is relatively new since it is created in 1998 and has a population of 238,780. The district has two constituences: Bondo and Rarieda. The district borders the shore of Lake Victoria. Traveling in Bondo includes a visit to Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria or Victoria Nyanza is one of the Great Lakes of Africa. This is the continent's largest lake and also the largest tropical lake in the world. This is the second largest fresh water lake in the world. The lake is the source of the longest branch of the Nile River, th white Nile. The local industries of Bondo are fishing and family farming.
