Some of the major tourist attractions in Kenya
that you can not miss while on a holiday in Kenya are as follows:
- Amboseli National Reserve: After Masai Mara National
Park, this is the second most important wildlife reserve
in Africa. Apart from the rich store of wildlife, another
reason for its importance is Mount Kilimanjaro which lies
inside the wildlife reserve. The entire parkland is divided
into 5 different habitats to support 5 different types of
wild life. The areas are- open plains, a lava rock area
covered with thorny bushes, marshy area, woodlands ans finally
bed of lake Amboseli. Some of the common animals here are
Maasai giraffe, impala, lion, waterbuck, cheetah, gazelle
and Coke's hartebeest.
- Kenyatta Conference Center: This is one of the
major tourist attractions in Kenya. The center consists
of a 33 storey tower. There is also an amphitheater which
is interestingly modeled in the fashion of a typical African
hut. The main conference hall is built in the design of
the ancient Roman senate.
- Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves:
The Ewaso Ngiro river flows through the wildlife reserve.
The river supports the Sonmali ostriches, crocodiles, hippos
and giraffes that live in the park.
