Kajaido is located on Uhuru Highway stretching from Nairobi to Narmanga. The local government of southern Maasailand is situated here. The inhabitants of Kajaido are the Masais.
Amboseli National Park is situated in Kajiado district. The area is swampy with very low rainfall. The volcanic mountains and the rift valleys in the surrounding along with the azure sky and clouds lend it a mystic appeal.
