- Mount Kenya National Park: Apart from Mt. Kilimanjaro,
Mount Kenya is one of the important peaks in Africa. This
extinct volcano is 5199 meters high. It has 12 receding
glaciers. From the Mount Kenya National Park you can enjoy
the most spectacular view of Kenya.
- Lamu Old Town: This is the oldest village is east
Africa which still preserves the ancient Swahili settlement.
The entire village is built of mangrove timber and rare
coral stones. All the houses look the same with carved doors,
courtyards and verandas. Abounding in simplicity, this village
is an important center of Swahili culture and Islamic studies.
- Masai Mara National Park: This is one of the most
important tourist spots in south east Kenya. It is a natural
reserve and is looked after by the local county council
together with the Masai people. The reserve has a record
of having nearly 1.5 million migrating animal every year.
Keekorok lodge, Mara Serena lodge, Karen Blixen Camp are
some of the places you can stay in while visiting Masai
Mara National Park. The night safaris here attracts thousands
of eager tourists from all over the world.
- Nairobi National Park: This is world's only game
reserve. The area is very rough. So it is very important
that you hire a jeep or a van to visit this place. It is
the best place in Africa to watch exotic tropical animals.
